Paula Patton is an actress and producer best known for her roles as a lead actress in the action spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the drama film Precious. While growing up with her family in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, Patton had many dreams. Her mother was a movie fan and encouraged her to love movies as a young person. Paula was involved in the co-curricular activities of her school and particularly awed by drama. She enjoyed acting in stage plays together with her fellow students. She was a part of numerous high school plays at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and decided to pursue acting as a profession. She was enrolled in at the University of Southern Cal's summer camp, and loved tremendously. The program awarded her a 3-month contract creating documentaries for PBS. Her first job was as an assistant to production for TV documentaries after successfully completing her task. Following the completion of her project then she began putting together documentary films. Even though she loved what she did however, she always wanted acting roles. In the romantic comedy Hitch she starred in a minor part with Will Smith. Since then, she has been in numerous well-known television and film shows.
