Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a artist from Newark New Jersey on the 9th August 1963. Her parents are gospel stars Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard), and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne Warwick sings as well. Her mother and she began to sing professionally together at the New Hope Baptist Church of Newark in the year Whitney was just 15 years old. They performed the back vocals on Chaka Khans 1978 track Im Every Woman. The singer went on to sing backing vocals for Lou Rawls Jermaine Jackson and her own mother. She also worked briefly as models on the cover of Seventeen magazine in 1981. She started as a featured performer for the The New York-based New York Funk band Material. Her vocal quality performance attracted the attention of major record label Arista where she signed up in 1983. Whitney Houston's debut Whitney Houston album was released in the year 1985. It would become one of the most successful album by a musician. It featured a number of hits like How Will I Know You Give Good Love, Saving all My Love For you and The greatest Love of All. It was instrumental in her achieving seven US chart-topping songs in succession which surpasses the Beatles. Album sold in US 3,000,000 copies, and later went to 25,000,000 globally. This earned her the first in her six Grammy Awards. Its Whitney 1987 release, which included Where Do Broken Hearts and I Wanna Dance With Somebody as hits, helped build upon the successes she'd had. The 1992 film The Bodyguard sealed her spot as one of the most successful musicians of all-time. While the movie and the actor's performance weren't much praised, her soundtrack album featuring her rendition of Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You was the top-selling album and single for a number of months. The album sold over 44 million copies around the world. In the same year she welcomed her daughter Bobbi Brown, she got married to Bobby Brown of the ex-New Edition group. At this point when her well-documented substance abuse began. By 1996 she was a daily addict.
Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchorwoman and reporter for the political section of CNN. Her previous work included NBC, CBS and other prominent channels. Additionally, she produces some of CNN's weekends shows including Evans & Novak Late Edition as well as Inside Politics. Bash has received many awards and was included in the Women in Washington Power List by Elle magazine. A lot of young journalists praise Bash for her incredible reporting and anchoring skills.
